Selective hearing

We were eating lunch.

Mom: (talking to me about a particular topic)
Me: *listens*

We ate finish and went to the kitchen to wash up.
Mom: (changes topic) "Help me wash my plates too"
Me: *finish washing up my plate and walked to my room* (thinking) "did mom say something about washing her plates?"

Few seconds later..
Mom: Aiyoh. Asked you to wash you didn't wash..
Me: "(thinks) Ah, yup, she did."

Knock knock

Today was officially the last day of classes in Foundation. January flew by so fast. It feels like a month has just went by, but its hard to get to the fact that it is already February! Like I said before, I do not know where time went to. If I were living in my own house, heck, my Christmas tree would probably still be up and shining. :/

babes :)

February seem like another busy month; with finals, then my course ending, CNY (clashing with two other special functions too!),family gatherings, duties, a mini bootcamp to go to at KT and all the other unplanned and planned plans that is to come. heh. Oh, one other big thing in Feb is degree!

But I'm still contemplating whether to start in Feb or July.. Oh all the choices.. sigh.

Anyway, that's it for this post. Just trying to keep my blog updated! :)

for you!

In mass comm, we make videos as assignments

Firstly, hello, February. You need not have rushed! And my apologies for only having 3 posts in the month of January.. Of course, I am still to update on some January events. :)

Third sem was is a crazy hectic semester. Normally one semester would be about 4 months, but this sem, is only about 2 months.. 7 weeks, to be precise. That means, 4 months worth of studies is squeezed into 7 weeks. Mmhmm.

So we had two video assignments for Media Appreciation: a Music Television (MTV), and a Public Service Announcement video (PSA). Both videos were due today, and thank God things although went a little haywire at the beginning, it was cool. :)

It was both fun and stressful to do the videos from start to finish. And since I have some pictures, hence this post. :)

Pictures behind the scenes from shooting the MTV, which took 2 days to shoot the entire thing..

one of the scenes

Sara: *chases* grr...

Ms. Director!

aww marc and sammie. they're such great actors :)

And here are pictures from shooting the PSA video.. be grossed out. But seriously, brace yourself first before you scroll down, aight? I got pretty used to the sight already, but seeing my groupies and my classmates reaction when they saw this, I'd have to warn you first. And the sign is there also for a reason. :)

p.s. all props are not real.

my own viewers discretion sign :)

toilet gone bad.. real bad..

supposingly puke :x

Both the videos are finally done. I don't know why, but this semester I didn't bother so much to super edit my videos.. I didn't bother to use the Mac at college, so I edited mine with WMM. :s But it turned out pretty good anyway! :) Sara and Sammie edited the MTV and I'd say they did a good job!

So today was presentation day where everyone presented their videos. I have to admit that I felt intimidated by some groups' videos (duh) and not so intimidated by some.. But at the end of it, you look back and you gotta know that each one of us have our own capabilities. That's how you feel special. :)

I'm running out of topic.

Anyway, I wanna thank everyone especially my lovely groupies who made this video possible! ♥ I shall post up the YouTube link of the PSA video after I post it up. (edited: Here is the link!)

Enjoy!) Lastly, the presentation today also marked the end of our crazy lot of assignments this semester! What with all the reviews, and the super exhausting english research paper too.. Next up comes finals then bye bye Foundation! Time definitely is flying fast this year..

yours truly ♥

masa itu emas (chehh..)

Batu Caves - THE place for Thaipusam

Malaysia's like the place where the largest Thaipusam festival (I'm not exactly sure what Thaipusam is all about, so you have to Google it if you want to know. :) ) is celebrated in the world. People from all over the world (including India!) come to this place because of its uniqueness - primarily the cave itself.

out of place

Batu caves is.. please go Google it yourself. :) Haha. But seriously, go read on it. Pretty interesting especially when you have visited the place before.

272 steps. I tried counting but failed. Steve failed too!

this statue is like the tallest one of its kind in the world

pretty sceneries at Batu Caves

Anyway, going there was primarily to bring Steven to see the festival, but since I have not witnessed Thaipusam before either, and so I went. :)

We thought it was gonna be real hot there since we went in the afternoon to avoid the crowd, and when we reached there, it started to rain; right when we reached the shelter at the foot of the 272 steps! Thus we had to wait for the rain to subside right there at the shelter, and finally walked up when the rain stopped. (slippery steps!)

Steven & I halfway up the steps

Did not get to see much interesting stuff (i.e. kavadis etc.), but we did see a few. :)

there were limes hooked on this man

looks like eyes, ain't it. sad it's blur..

So that's it. It is interesting to get to know about other cultures, eh. ;)
